Rock the Night was conceived as a way to augment the Light the Night walk, raise additional funding for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to battle blood cancers, and to honor the survivors and those that lost their battle to these cancers. The committee decided to use large gold and silver stars which were emblazoned with the names of those honored.

We have also hosted featured survivors at the event. In 2006, 11 year old Jake Gadomski, brought the house down with an inspiring account of his journey as an acute lymphocytic leukemia survivor. In 2007 Bob Levis, a coworker at Air Products, was our featured speaker. Claire Reitz was our featured survivor for 2008. She told us what life was like, growing up with blood cancer, Her brother Connor also spoke about having a sibling with this disease.

The event is designed to honor these people, raise funding, and to HAVE FUN! The committees over the years have also grown and the results of their efforts can be seen here.

We are looking to or best year yet, in 2010, and with your help, it will be!
